Studio Pilates Class With Pilates Equipment
In my fully equipped studio (Reformer, Spine Corrector, Chair, Trapeze Table, Ladder Barrel), you have the option to take 1 to 1, Duo, or Studio Pilates sessions. In Studio classes, I can customize the exercises for you, as I work with only one to a maximum of 4–5 clients at a time.
Studio Pilates Classes
We work with a maximum of 4–5 participants per class. This type of class is advantageous not only because of its affordability, but also because training with friends, family members, colleagues, etc., provides you with more motivation and commitment. You can sign up with someone you know or join an existing group.
If you want to train with someone, the Duo Pilates class is the option for you. Essentially, it’s an Individual session for two people. I created this type of class because I see the need for partners to progress and learn together, such as with your significant other, while spending quality time together. Most often, mother-daughter pairs or spouses choose this option, but of course, anyone is welcome.
Studio classes have a circuit-style structure. For example, while two participants work on the Reformer, two others perform exercises on the mat or the Spine Corrector, then we rotate.
In these classes, you need to be a bit more independent since my attention is divided. Of course, I guide you throughout, give continuous instructions, and sometimes use hands-on guidance if needed.
Before joining an existing Studio class, you’ll need about 4 Individual Pilates sessions (or more). If you haven’t practiced Pilates with me before, a few sessions are necessary so that you can confidently follow instructions and cues in the Studio class.
It’s important to learn what your body needs for optimal alignment. If you have any issues (e.g., a persistent wrist inflammation that prevents you from putting weight on your hands), it’s essential to know which positions and exercises to avoid and what alternatives you can do.
It’s also very important to learn how to set up your own settings on the Pilates Reformer. In Studio classes, you will adjust your machine and change the resistance yourself. Since the machines have moving parts, it’s essential to learn their proper use and safety.
