Group Reformer classes

Group Reformer Pilates Courses

Starting in September, I’ll be offering Group Reformer Pilates courses at three different times. Here you can read who I recommend this opportunity for, and what you can expect if you decide to commit and join.

This is for you if…

  • you’re healthy and want to get to know Pilates on the Reformer from a somatic perspective
  • you’ve already heard a lot about Reformer Pilates and would like to practice in a small group
  • you value structured learning, guided attention, and support while getting to know the method and your own body
  • you’re curious about what Reformers are really for and how to use them safely
  • you want to train in a way that also helps you learn more about yourself through movement
  • you’d like to understand what body awareness truly means
  • you feel safer progressing in a closed, small group rather than in “anyone can drop in anytime” classes
  • you find prevention and consciously structured progression important
  • you want to better understand how your body and nervous system work—so that movement and training don’t become just another source of stress!
  • you want a reliable, experienced teacher to guide and support you

What to expect

We’ll start with the basics and gradually move toward more integrated, complex movements.

I’ll talk about breathing, and about what this “center” or “core” really means, so you can better understand your body’s natural functioning.

We’ll explore ideal posture—why it looks different for everyone—and always approach the work from a somatic perspective. That means we’ll use movement not just to exercise, but also to observe the body, its sensations, and signals. When you pay attention during movement, over time both complex exercises and everyday movements will become more efficient and effective. The method’s functionality is based on directing your awareness and observing your body’s signals and sensations.

Each session will be designed to move your whole body and spine.

Every time, I’ll also teach you one mat exercise that you can practice at home. By the last session, you’ll already have a whole sequence to take with you :-)

Safety is essential on the Reformer—after all, you’ll be exercising on a moving surface, and yes, you can fall if you don’t know how it works! I’ll teach you how to take care of yourself.

This is not a crash course and not a certification program. The 10 sessions will give you a rich introduction to this wonderful method, so that wherever you may continue in the future (at home or in a bigger class), you’ll always have these foundations to rely on. And of course, there will be an option to continue after the 10 sessions if you’d like.

I won’t cram the classes full of endless exercises—we won’t rush. Instead, we’ll work attentively, with fewer movements, so you can truly learn in depth and with focus.

Yes, you will be training—you’ll get stronger and more flexible. But all this will happen mindfully, with care, a calm nervous system, and patience. That’s what I’ll be supporting you in.

I hope from all this you already feel whether this opportunity is for you :-)
If you’re still unsure or have any questions, please reach out.

The language of the groups will be determined by the participants. If everyone understands English, we can decide to go with English.
